New London

The city of New London is located midway between Boston, Massachusetts and New York City and situated on the shores of both the Thames River and Long Island Sound. The City of New London has a population of about 28,000 and is a vibrant community in which to live, visit and do business. The  Gold Coast neighborhood  is one of the city’s most sought after places to live in the city. New London is presently in the midst of economic revitalization with significant development initiatives underway in the State Pier, the Downtown and the Fort Trumbull areas. The historic waterfront District is best known as the home of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and America’s Tall Ship the Barque Eagle. The city is also known as the home to Mitchell College, Connecticut College, and the United States Coast Guard Academy.
