Gino (Eugene) Penasa is a dedicated real estate professional with a rich background in land use development and zoning. He has been instrumental in facilitating significant property transactions.
Gino's expertise extends beyond traditional real estate; he is well-versed in navigating complex land use and zoning regulations, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive guidance throughout their property ventures. His commitment to excellence and deep understanding of the local market make him a valuable asset to both buyers and sellers.
Gino Penasa is not the kind of person who does things halfway. From growing up on the
ski slopes of Colorado to the indoor climbing business, from the beaches of Cozumel to
traveling and living across the globe, Gino has built a life defined by bold moves,
relentless curiosity, and an uncanny ability to walk into a business and make it thrive.
With over two decades of leadership across food & beverage, outdoor retail, hospitality,
and fitness, Gino’s career reads less like a résumé and more like a great American
adventure story. He scaled the Seattle Bouldering Project from an upstart disrupter to a
50,000-square-foot flagship — the world’s largest indoor bouldering gym — while
simultaneously launching a full bar and grill concept inside it. At Gorsuch Ltd. in Vail, he
took a brand-new concept from an empty space to a cutting-edge new retail/café,
navigating a global pandemic in between. Before that, he directed alpine food &
beverage operations at Copper Mountain Resort, founded a catering company that
became a premier caterer in Western Colorado, and even ran an all-inclusive lodging
and fly fishing tour company on the island of Cozumel, Mexico. When Gino finds a blank
slate, he sees possibility.
But perhaps his most daring venture to date had nothing to do with business at all. In
2022, Gino and his partner made the kind of decision most people only dream about —
they flipped their own home, packed up, and hit the road to support their daughter’s gap
year college search. What followed was two years of living fully: road-tripping from
Colorado to California, across European over four months, driving coast-to-coast from
Los Angeles to Maine, and personally visiting 24 colleges and universities along the
way (and flipping another historic home in Maine!). Gino is now settled in southeastern
Connecticut, currently mid-renovation on yet another home.
Through all his adventures and careers, real estate has been the constant. From buying
his first residential property at 21, to restoring and flipping historic homes in Colorado,
Maine and Washington state, to securing specialty commercial real estate for climbing
gyms and retail, he knows the ins and outs of getting property from “For Sale” to SOLD.
With a knack for specialty properties, marinas and businesses, Gino is ready to help
you navigate your real estate adventure.
